Childhood Without Borders

Foundation for Moldovan-Japanese relations announces the launch of the cultural program "Childhood without borders.
The duration of the program is 2 weeks (from 10:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m.) and  includes

• Japanese Culture (audio video materials) ;
• Japanese art in Origami technique;
• Ikebana;
• Competitions, excursion, dances;
• Moldovan-Japanese Calendar celebrations;
• Communication in many languages (Romanian, Russian, English, Japanese);
• Learning usual Japanese expressions;
• Lunch

IKEBANA

From all traditional arts of Japan, the most beautiful and practiced nowadays is Ikebana, the art of flower arrangement. Essentially Ikebana has a symbolic arrangement: a triangle representing the sky, earth and the man. It reflects a harmony of colors, perfect lines, space and shapes. Ikebana is penetrated by naturalism of season flowers reflecting their natural beauty. There are a lot of Ikebana schools in which we can study rules and particular techniques of this traditional art. Representing the spiritual state of man, Ikebana for Japanese people is a contemporary way of life. The colors propagated in Ikebana are represented by its branches: Ko-ryu, Ohara-ryu and Sogetsu-ryu.

ORIGAMI

Origami" – in translation means "ORI" -to fold “KAMI" - paper. Origami is the art of paper fold, dating approximate 1000 years ago, which comes from Japan. This art became so popular that concerns both children and adults. Origami is a natural method to develop man’s capacities. It stimulates the memory, concentration, attention development, and acts positively on the rehabilitation of nervous system and fingers’ mobility. In order to study this art only paper and the desire is necessary. You can fold from a simple piece of paper thousands of figures. Origami centers exist and activate in 127 world countries. Persons interested in Origami present their works at the exhibitions in their country and abroad.
